The biggest problem I see in the SLP field is total UNAWARENESS of the mental exhaustion that most SLPs are experiencing.
We’re tired. Overworked. Pushed past our limits. And then expected to show up each and every day to give 110%.

We’ve been conditioned to think that it’s normal.
That everyone is feeling as overwhelmed as you.
That everyone has an unreasonable amount of to-do’s on their list.
That we’re overthinking it because if everyone else can show up on Monday, so can you, right?
Wrong.
That’s not fair.
Why do we put mental health last on the priority list when it’s the MOST important asset we have?
Leave the “should” behind.
